Five days or more
At five days and beyond the question changes from "what do I fit in" to "what do I want this trip to be". The options are genuinely different holidays: a Lake Nasser cruise, a night at Abu Simbel, Kom Ombo overland, or simply more river.
Morning — The four-day plan, unchanged.
Morning — A Lake Nasser cruise, three or four nights south to Abu Simbel past four groups of rescued temples almost nobody reaches.
Afternoon — Or New Kalabsha and a slow morning: three rescued monuments by boat from the dam, with nobody there.
Evening — Or start sailing north — a dahabiya from here to Luxor is the answer for people who have decided the river is the trip.
Past four days, adding sites stops helping. What adds is going somewhere emptier or slower, and both cost time rather than money.
This is where people start rearranging the rest of the trip, and that is usually the right instinct. Aswan is the part of Egypt that rewards staying longer, and Lake Nasser is the part almost nobody sees.
